Janesville company makes stadium hotspot

May 19, 2010 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – IPods are as useful as a cap, sunscreen and a baseball glove at Road Ranger Stadium, now that the home of the Rockford RiverHawks is a wireless hotspot.

Rockford’s only professional baseball team, along with Small Business Technology Solutions, announced Wednesday that Road Ranger Stadium is a wireless hotspot. Any fan with any device that has wireless internet capability can log on at the stadium for free.

Fans simply need to click their “View wireless networks” function or a similar option on their laptop, IPod, etc. take advantage of the free wireless access provided by Small Business Technology Solutions, a company based in Janesville and Kenosha. Small Business Technology Solutions provides affordable technology and computer consulting support and service to small businesses, non-profits, and home users. The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season this summer.
