The Rockford RiverHawks announced on Friday that they have scheduled the Hard Knox Baseball College Evaluation Clinic for 9 a.m.-noon July 5-8. The clinic is open for high-school players and costs $150 per athlete.

Professional players and college coaches will evaluate skills, including 60-yard runs, outfield throwing, infielding, catchers’ pop times, hitting and bullpen sessions for pitchers. For details on registration, contact Tony Pigott at 815-703-2305 or email [email protected].

The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season in 2010. The RiverHawks’ ninth season begins at 7:05 p.m. May 20 against the Schaumburg Flyers at Road Ranger Stadium. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255.
