October 2, 2009 - Once again SubWay Tri-State Development teamed up this year with the RiverHawksto help Strike-out Hunger.
Subway Tri-State Development has donated $2,500 as a result of the Strike Out Hunger promotion with the Rockford RiverHawks. Rather than donating the promised $5 per each at-home strike out, Subway upped the ante. The RiverHawks posted 362 strike outs at-home. Many thanks to the management of Subway Tri-State Development.
The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season in 2010.
