September 23, 2009 - Rockford RiverHawks pitcher Matt Enderle is set for flu season.
The southpaw from South Beloit received a flu shot Friday at Rock Valley College as part of the Illinois Department of Public Health's statewide tour to promote flu-season preparedness. About 200,000 Americans are hospitalized each year, with 36,000 fatalities, according to IDPH director Dr. Damon Arnold.
Enderle was featured as a notable area athlete to launch the campaign locally.
