September 6, 2009 - Loves Park, IL - The All-Star Season of 2009 at Road Ranger Stadium will sadly come to an end today when the RiverHawks take on the Windy City Thunderbolts.
Today is the home finale and it is also Fan Appreciation Night. Please note that the game time has been moved to 6:05pm from the previously scheduled 4:05pm. As fans walk through the gates a gift from the 2009 season will be given away and post-game fireworks, kids run the bases and RiverHawks autographs will follow the 6:05pm game with Windy City. The RiverHawks will also announce the random winner of the Warner's Auto promotional car. Gates will open at 4:30pm.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 17th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit the RiverHawks online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com. Most games are broadcast live on ESPN 1380, and on the team website.
