August 25, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Fans can take home bobbleheads and photos, watch fireworks and take advantage of some great money-saving promotions next week at Road Ranger Stadium.
The Rockford RiverHawks come home Aug. 25 for a six-game homestand. They play River City at 7:05 p.m. on a Two-For Tuesday. Tickets and hot dogs are each 2-for-1.
The series continues with 7:05 p.m. games Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s game is a Family Value Night. For just $40, a family of four can get outfield box seats, hot dogs and soft drinks. It’s also a Kids Eat Free Night. When a child and parent both purchase regularly priced tickets, the kid gets a free hot dog and soft drink. Thursday is the final Miller Lite/104.9 – the X Dollar Beer Night.
Southern Illinois comes in for a three-night, four-game series next weekend. The series starts with a 6:05 p.m. doubleheader on Friday. The FatWallet.com Friday Night Fireworks series follows the nightcap. It’s also Union Night.
The RiverHawks honor a former major-league great Saturday on Upper Iowa University/Bob-FM, WIFR Sammy Sosa Bobblehead Night. The first 1,000 in the gates receive a Sammy Sosa bobblehead doll.
The homestand ends with a 4:05 p.m. game on Sunday. It’s the annual Team Photo Day. The first 1,000 receive an official 2009 RiverHawks team photo, courtesy of Capture Photography, Q98.5 and Dr Pepper. After the game, players will sign autographs and kids can run the bases as part of the Family Day promotion.
