August 4, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks capitalized on Evansville’s shaky defense and beat the Otters, 10-1, on Tuesday.

The Otters committed four errors, including two by Blackwell in the fifth inning. The Otters lead the Frontier League with 111 errors on the season.

Tanner Watson (4-2) had his best outing of the year and earned the victory. He struck out a season-high 10 batters. He allowed one run on two hits in seven innings and walked three.

Rockford outfielder Derrick Walker finished 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and three RBI. Caleb Fields was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, two doubles, and three RBI.

Evansville starter Stephen Brock (0-1) made his first professional start and took the loss. He lasted six innings and gave up five runs, none earned, on five hits. He walked three and struck out two.
