July 14, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Chicago Cubs Legends defeated the Chicago White Sox Legends, 7-2, Tuesday in the Jim Beam Legends game, part of the Frontier League All-Star festivities this week at Road Ranger Stadium.

Former Cubs utility player Keith Moreland provided the difference with a two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning. Former Cubs pitcher and general manager Ed Lynch received the victory.

Moreland and Lynch were joined by several former Cubs and White Sox players along with local celebrities and media members. Before and after the game the Legends players signed autographs and had their photos taken with fans. The event preceded the Frontier League Home Run Derby.

John Beasley, the fan who earned a spot on the Legends roster via an eBay auction, played with the Cubs Legends and had a hit in the ball game.
