June 27, 2009 - CRESTWOOD, Ill. – J.T. Restko and Zach Aakhus each hit home runs on Saturday as the Windy City ThunderBolts beat the Rockford RiverHawks, 6-0, in a game shortened to 6½ innings because of rain.

The ThunderBolts scored twice in the second inning. Restko led off with his ninth homer of the season. Aakhus followed with a double, moved to third on a wild pitch and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Dan Jordan. Rockford starter Fabian Gomez (1-2) left after Aakhus homered with one out in the third to make the score 3-0.

Windy City starter Ross Stout did not allow a runner to reach scoring position after the first inning. Stout (4-1) pitched a rain-shortened complete game. He struck out eight without a walk.

Rockford was held to four hits, two by Jason James. James extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
