May 16, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rockford RiverHawks season-ticket holders are invited to a free, fun-filled picnic party during this Saturday’s doubleheader exhibition at Road Ranger Stadium.

During Rockford’s final preseason tune-up against the Windy City ThunderBolts on May 16, season-ticket holders will get their first taste of this summer’s game experience – literally and figuratively. Fans will be treated to a free picnic of this season’s ballpark cuisine while taking in the first game of the doubleheader. At its conclusion, RiverHawks players will join the party-goers for a brief meet-and-greet session before returning to the field for game two. It is a great opportunity to get a first-hand preview of the 2009 Rockford squad.

The doubleheader begins at 5:00 p.m. at Road Ranger Stadium in Loves Park, Ill. The picnic, which is exclusively for season-ticket holders, is free along with game admission. It will be held in the right-field picnic tent. Tickets for the general public are $2.00.

Season-ticket packages are still available at the RiverHawks’ box office or online.
