April 28, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks are offering youth baseball players an opportunity to stay on the field all the way to Halloween.

The team announced today that it has opened registration for the RiverHawks Fall Baseball League, which will play an eight-game schedule in September and October. The league is open to full teams and individual players who will be 13 or younger by May 2010.

All games will be played at Road Ranger Stadium, the home of the RiverHawks. Games are scheduled for each Saturday from Sept. 12 to Oct. 31, with one doubleheader on each team’s schedule.

“The RiverHawks have stayed committed to the pursuit of generating avenues for youth baseball to flourish in Rockford,” RiverHawks director of operations Chris Daleo said. “This fall baseball league falls right in line with our youth camps and tournaments as fun and exciting ways for our young community to play the great American pastime.”

Registration costs $100 per player, $1200 for a 12-player team. Each team will receive 12 uniform t-shirts.

For more information on playing rules and for a downloadable registration form, visit the team website or call Chris Daleo at (815) 885-BALL. The registration deadline is Aug. 1.

The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season at 7:05 p.m. May 21 at Windy City and play their home opener at 7:05 p.m. May 26 against the Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti.
