February 27, 2009 - Some of the greatest hitters in RiverHawks history will be the instructors at next weekend's Hard Knox Professional Baseball Instruction hitting clinic.

The clinic is split into a session for Little Leaguers and another for high-school level players. Instructors include all-time RiverHawks home-run leader and 2004 Frontier League Player of the Year Rich Austin and former Frontier League All-Stars Tony Pigott (above), Rico Santana and Gooby Gerlits. Pigott is a former Tampa Bay Devil Rays prospect and Austin was signed by the Kansas City Royals after he led the RiverHawks to the pennant in his final season.

The session for ages 8-14 is scheduled for noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 7. The session for high-school players is scheduled for noon-2 p.m. Sunday, March 8.

The fee is $40 per participant. To register, contact Pigott at (815) 703-2305 or [email protected].
