RiverHawks announce mini-plan dates
« Back

February 20, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced Wednesday the scheduled dates for their 10- and 20-game mini-season plans.

For as little as $75 per plan, fans can guarantee the same great box seat each night on the plan and avoid long lines at the Road Ranger Stadium box office. Two 10-game plans are offered – the traditional Big 10 package and the Family Plan. The 20-game plan combines the dates on each 10-game plan. Each night on each plan includes fireworks and/or giveaways.

“We had a record 11 sellouts last season and the place was packed on every other weekend game,” general manager Josh Olerud said. The team had less than 500 seats left on an average night. “The only way to guarantee a seat to these high-demand nights is by purchasing a very affordable ticket plan.”

The Big 10 plan features the top 10 promotional nights of the season: May 26 (Opening Night/Fireworks), May 30 (Mark Grace Bobblehead Night), June 13 (Mesh Hat Night), July 2 (Independence Day Fireworks/Patriotic T-Shirt Night/Dollar Beer Night), July 18 (Andre Dawson Bobblehead Doll Night), July 24 (Fireworks/Click It Night), Aug. 1 (Blue Out Night/blue t-shirt giveaway), Aug. 14 (Fireworks), Aug. 29 (Sammy Sosa Bobblehead), Sept. 5 (Long Sleeve T-shirt Night).

The Family Plan includes 10 weekend dates and is identical to the dates on Rocko’s Kids Club Plans. Kids get to run the bases after each Sunday home game, weather permitting. Family Plan nights include: May 29 (Fireworks), May 31 (Rally Towel Day), June 14 (Photo Day), June 21 (Logo Baseball Day/Father’s Day Father and Child catch), July 19 (Player Headshot Day), July 25 (Pillowcase Giveaway/Scout Night Campout), Aug. 2 (Player Headshot Day), Aug. 16 (Baseball Card Day), Aug. 30 (Team Poster Day), Sept. 6 (Fan Appreciation Day/Fireworks).

Ten-game plans are $75 for outfield box, $95 for infield box and $110 for home plate box. The 20-game packages are available for those areas at $145, $180 and $210, respectively. Kids Club Plans are just $20 and include a T-shirt and other membership perks. A family of four can attend 10 games this summer for as low as $190 total.

Weeknight games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. starts. The RiverHawks responded to fan opinion and have scheduled earlier weekend gametimes. Saturday games are scheduled for 6:05 p.m. starts and Sunday games are scheduled for 4:05 p.m. starts. Complete schedule and ticket information is available at www.rockfordriverhawks.com.

The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season at 7:05 p.m. May 21 at Windy City and play their home opener at 7:05 p.m. May 26 against the Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti. The RiverHawks host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255.
