January 28, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – A local favorite will remain on the menu board at Road Ranger Stadium.

The Rockford RiverHawks announced Wednesday that Maciano’s Pizza and Pastaria will once again be the team’s official pizza. Cheese, pepperoni and sausage pizza are sold in the main concession stands.

Franchisee Mark Bloomfield owns two local locations, 6746 Broadcast Pkwy. in Loves Park and 5801 Columbia Parkway in Rockford, scheduled to open later this year.

“We have a really strong customer base,” Bloomfield said. “We’re kind of a neighborhood place. We’re smaller; we’re not one of the big franchises. Everything’s made fresh daily.”

Maciano’s offers five different crusts and more than 20 toppings at its restaurants.

Maciano’s is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
