November 19, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rockford RiverHawks fans have a week left to take advantage of early-bird discounts for season-ticket purchases and for renewals to guarantee seat locations.
The RiverHawks are offering special discounted rates for fans that purchase 2009 ticket plans before Thanksgiving.
Fans that purchase a full-season or mini-season plan and pay for it in full by Nov. 26 will receive a 10-percent discount. In addition, fans that buy a season ticket for the full 48-game regular-season schedule will receive a free ticket to the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game, scheduled for July 15.
The only way to guarantee seating for the highest-profile sporting event to hit the Stateline in years is by purchasing a 2009 ticket plan. Mini-season plans include five, 10 or 20 games and an upgrade to all-star tickets is available.
Renewing season-ticket holders can keep their seat location for 2009 if they put down a non-refundable, 25-percent discount by Nov. 26. When the RiverHawks box office reopens after Thanksgiving, season-ticket holders who have not yet renewed will lose their right to renew their seat of choice.
“Thanks to excitement generated by the success of our 2008 season and anticipation for 2009 and the All-Star Game, we have to make accommodations for first-time season-ticket buyers,” director of ticketing Brad Sholes said. “Renewing your tickets is as simple as a phone call.”
The box office is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will be closed on Nov. 27-28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season in 2009. The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season in May and host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15.
