September 29, 2008 - Former Rockford RiverHawk Matt Hagen's current team is a win away from the championship of the independent Atlantic League.
Hagen and the Somerset Patriots have a two-games-to-one series lead over Camden in the Atlantic League finals. Game 4 of the best-of-five series is scheduled for Monday at Somerset.
Hagen, who played for the RiverHawks last year, hit .308 with 17 home runs and 71 RBI this season. He also stole a career-best 34 bases. In the postseason, Hagen is 3-for-19 with a home run and three RBI. |
