RiverHawks tickets less expensive than gas
« Back

August 21, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rockford RiverHawks games are always a great option for affordable family entertainment. With gas prices that peaked at more than $4 a gallon this summer, it’s a better value than filling up the tank for a long drive. For one night, the RiverHawks are going a step further and will beat the price you pay at the pump.

The RiverHawks have scheduled Pain at the Pump Night for their 7:05 p.m. game on Wednesday against the Evansville Otters. All grandstand and outfield box seating will be offered for $3.50, less than the price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline. In addition, carpoolers will be offered free parking if they are at the wheel of a vehicle with at least five occupants.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 16th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet. Fans can also visit the RiverHawks online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
