June 12, 2008 - TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – The RiverHawks got another sterling pitching performance and Rockford’s offense broke out of a long scoreless stretch, but one crucial error meant yet another close loss for the RiverHawks.

Mike Epping’s two-out sixth-inning ground ball was misplayed by Jono Brooks, allowing the tying and go-ahead runs to score in a 4-1 Traverse City win.

Trailing 1-0, Mike Goetz led off the sixth with a double and advanced to third on Steve Young’s sacrifice. After Jake Whitesides walked, Chris Schutt (2-2) struck out Kyle Maunus as Whitesides stole second. Epping then hit the decisive grounder to short that scooted by Brooks, scoring two. Pat Perry followed with a double that scored Epping.

Matt Enderle allowed a run in the eighth on a bases loaded walk issued to Brad Miller.
