June 9, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks will celebrate the 6th Annual Doctors vs. Lawyers Charity Game at Road Ranger Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 13. The charity game will start promptly at 3:35 p.m. After the contest, the RiverHawks host divisional rival Southern Illinois. The game starts at 7:05 p.m.; gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Players are required to sell or purchase 20 tickets or more to participate in Wednesday’s doctors/lawyers exhibition game. For every ticket sold, $2 will go to the participant’s charity of choice and the winning team will get an extra $500 to their charity. All doctor and lawyer players will receive a jersey before the charity game and will receive hospitality in a VIP tent immediately following the charity game.
Businesses who are interested in sponsoring the charity event or the RiverHawks game may do so by calling Road Ranger Stadium at (815) 885-2255. Sponsors who purchase 20 tickets or more will receive an insert in Wednesday’s program, business representation on the centerfield video board, and public address announcements throughout the night.
