May 30, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Local golfers once again will have the opportunity to hit the links with Rockford RiverHawks players and coaches.
The 6th Annual Rockford Riverhawks Golf Outing four-man scramble takes place Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 at Timber Pointe Golf Course in Poplar Grove, Ill.
For $100 per player or $350 per foursome, golfers receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, door prizes for each player as well as an awards dinner and banquet. In addition, prizes will be given away in putting contests, a hole-in-one contest and various other hole prizes.
Registration is at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Golfers can request to have a RiverHawk join their foursome; requests will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Golfers can pre-register by contacting Brad Sholes at [email protected], picking up an entry form at Road Ranger Stadium or downloading a form by clicking here. Completed forms should be emailed to Sholes or dropped off at Road Ranger Stadium. Spots are limited.
The RiverHawks are seeking out sponsors for the golf outing. Interested sponsors should contact Sholes at [email protected].
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer.
