May 2, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Meeting one of the big birds of the Stateline means a chance to visit the area’s other feathered mascot.

Kids 13 and under are invited to join Rocko the RiverHawk on Saturday at Riverside Community Bank for the Kids Club Extravaganza.

The event runs 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Riverside Community Bank’s branch located at Perryville and Riverside in Rockford. The event will feature autographs from the team mascot, door prizes and free hot dogs and refreshments. One lucky youth will be selected to receive a free family four-pack from CoCo Key indoor water park at the Clocktower Resort, home of CoCo.

Youths that sign up for Rocko’s Kids Club on Saturday can also open a savings account at Riverside Bank. If they do, Riverside will match their deposit, up to $10.

The club is open to all children between the ages of 3 and 13. For just $20, members will receive a Rocko's Kids Club T-shirt and a membership card. Each member also gets a free outfield box ticket to each night on the family-friendly Head-to-Toe 10-game package. Each of those 10 nights will feature a kid-friendly giveaway item. For as little as $75, parents can purchase a 10-game plan and join their kid at the park each of those nights.

In addition, club members receive free admission to all four youth clinics, scheduled for June 3, July 1, August 12 and August 26. All participants of the youth clinic receive a ticket to that night’s game.

The RiverHawks are also offering a one-day special on Saturday. Parents who purchase a 10-game plan will receive one free Kids Club membership.

Members should wear their Kids Club t-shirt or bring their membership card to every game to receive $1 reserved grandstand tickets to non-club games as well as exclusive access to the field to join Rocko during the “YMCA” song at selected games.

The following dates are included in the Kids’ Club Membership: May 25 (autograph book), June 1 (growth chart), June 15 (youth gloves), June 29 (wristbands), July 3 (fireworks/baseball cap), July 20 (Little League bat), July 25 (fireworks/lunch box), Aug. 3 (batting helmets), Aug. 10 (replica jersey), Aug. 24 (back-to-school kit).
