RiverHawks seek batboys

April 10, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks are seeking batboys for the upcoming season.

The Outback Steakhouse Batboys have a unique opportunity for an inside view the game and have the chance to build relationships with players and the coaching staff. The parents of batboys will receive free tickets to each game their child works.

Applicants are asked to send a one-paragraph essay on why they would like to be a RiverHawks batboy to director of group sales/community relations Mandi Feery, 4503 Interstate Blvd., Loves Park, IL 61111.

Opening Night is at 7:05 p.m. May 21, when the RiverHawks host River City. The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet.
