Rockford native joins staff

March 26, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – A Rockford native has joined the front-office staff of the Rockford RiverHawks.

The team announced today that it has hired Mandi Feery as its director of group sales and community relations.

Feery, 25, graduated from Northern Illinois University – Rockford in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She is also a graduate of Jefferson High School.

Prior to joining the RiverHawks, Feery assisted the RiverHawks in the planning and operation of FanFest, held in February at Giovanni’s. At the time, she was the restaurant’s office assistant. She had also been Giovanni’s bar manager and assisted in sales and accounting.

Opening Night is at 7:05 p.m. May 21, when the RiverHawks host River City. The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer.
