March 20, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Stateline’s top RV dealer is teaming up with the region’s favorite professional baseball team.
The Rockford RiverHawks announced on Thursday a three-year partnership with Finnegans’ RV Center. Finnegans’, in business since 1969, has won the annual Fleetwood Customer Satisfaction Award each of the last 21 years. In addition to RV sales, it offers parts and accessories.
Finnegans’ president Mark Finnegan said the proximity of the stadium to his new location - at the Interstate 90/Illinois 75 interchange – made the partnership ideal.
“We feel the RiverHawks provide Finnegans’ with the pipeline to the Rockford market, letting people know that we have moved into our new location in South Beloit,” Finnegan said. “With our new location being just 15 minutes north of Road Ranger Stadium, this should prove to be a win-win for Finnegans', Road Ranger, the RiverHawks and our mutual customers (fans).”
In each of year of the agreement, which runs through 2010, Finnegans’ will sponsor a camping-related giveaway and the annual Boy Scout/Girl Scout Campout Night.
“We at Finnegans' RV Center are very excited about partnering with the Riverhawks for the '08, '09 and '10 baseball seasons,” Finnegan said.
At 7:05 p.m. Saturday, July 26, Finnegans’ will sponsor RiverHawks Floppy Hat and Campout Night. Early arrivals will receive a RiverHawks floppy hat, ideal for wearing on summer camping or fishing trips. Scout packs are invited to stay after the game for an on-field campout.
“With the help from Finnegans’ RV, this year’s campout should be our best ever,” said Marshall Mackinder, RiverHawks assistant general manager for marketing and promotions.

Opening Night is at 7:05 p.m. May 21, when the RiverHawks host River City. The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer.
