August 29, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks have a great series of promotional nights lined up for the final week of the regular season.

The RiverHawks host Traverse City at 6:05 p.m. Monday, then play Kalamazoo in doubleheaders scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Monday is the end of the “Hawks Go Hollywood” series. Early arrivals receive a RiverHawks movie poster inspired by the classic baseball film “The Bad News Bears.” The film will be shown on the big screen following the game. It’s also the final Half Price Monday, when selected concessions items are half priced.

On Saturday, the RiverHawks honor a two-time Frontier League all-star on Rico Santana Bobblehead Night. The first 1,000 receive a Santana bobblehead. Dog Days of Summer has been rescheduled for Saturday. Fans are invited to bring their pooch to the park and watch a dog-training demonstration between games of the doubleheader.

Sunday is the regular-season finale, the annual Fan Appreciation Night. The RiverHawks are giving out great gifts all night long. In addition, fans are invited to stick around for postgame fireworks. Sunday is also Feldco Family Night, when kids get to run the bases after the game. The Family Four Pack, which includes hot dogs and pop, is available for $40.

Flood Relief Night has been rescheduled for Sunday. Citizens who make a monetary donation will be entered into a drawing to win: two round-trip tickets out of Rockford International Airport; four family four-packs and four tickets to CoCo Key Indoor Water Park; Road Ranger gas cards; gift packs from the RiverHawks and IceHogs; a car detailing package from Saturn of Rockford and a Congressional Cookbook from Congressman Don Manzullo. Sunday’s sponsor, Feldco, will donate $4500 worth of windows to flood victims. The RiverHawks donated tickets to flood victims through the fire department. They will be transported via bus to the game.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 15th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet.
