RiverHawks release Hagerty, sign D’Aversa

August 3, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced Friday that they have released pitcher Luke Hagerty and signed pitcher Frank D’Aversa.

Hagerty was 0-1 with a 33.75 ERA in three appearances. D’Aversa, a rookie out of the University of Rhode Island, made one appearance earlier this season with the Rome Coppers of the now-defunct New York State League. The independent NYSL did not release statistics to the public.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 15th season.
