August 3, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – With scheduled promotions including postgame fireworks, giveaway items, a movie night and visits from the Zooperstars and your dog, there’s no reason not to visit Road Ranger Stadium this homestand.
The RiverHawks are home for the next eight nights, starting with a 7:05 p.m. game Friday. With the exception of Sunday’s 6:05 p.m. game, scheduled start times are 7:05 p.m.
Friday is another FatWallet.com/WIFR Friday Fireworks Night. In addition, Sonco Pools and Q98.5 sponsor RiverHawks Beach Towel Night.
Saturday is Nick Johnson Throwback Bobblehead Night, sponsored by Dixon Meyers BOB-FM.
Sunday, the Zooperstars, including Shark McGwire and Clammy Sosa, visit the stadium on Feldco/B103 Family Night. Kids get to run the bases after the game.
Kids are invited out at 5 p.m. Monday for another Saturn of Rockford/WZOK Youth Clinic. In addition, select concessions items are half price.
The annual Dog Days of Summer arrives on Tuesday. Fans are invited to bring their pooch to the park. Petco provides dog treats, water, toys and scoopers. Forest City Dog Training will give a demonstration on the field. It’s also Ladies Night.
The Hawks Go Hollywood series continues at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday. Early arrivals get a movie poster inspired by “The Bad News Bears.” The film will be shown following the game, sponsored by Culvers, Rochelle Printing and WREX.
Thirsty Thursday brings with it another Miller Lite/104.9 – the X Dollar Beer Night.
The homestand wraps up Friday, August 10 with more fireworks and a Mincemoyer Jewelry/WIFR RiverHawks Logo Lapel Pin Night.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 15th season.
