June 10, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced today that they have signed pitcher Matthew Mehne.
Mehne, 23, is a true rookie out of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The right-hander was 2-2 with six saves and a 2.20 ERA in 16 appearances as the Pointers’ closer.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 15th season.
