June 9, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced today that second baseman John Day has asked for and received his release.
Day batted .300 with a home run and eight RBI in 10 games. The infielder spent last season with San Diego of the independent Golden League.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 15th season.
