Rockford Bell Credit Union to help kids cash in on K’s
« Back

May 3, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – When a Rockford RiverHawks pitcher sends opposing batters walking back to the dugout, area kids will have a reason to walk into Rockford Bell Credit Union.

Rockford Bell Credit Union is the sponsor of the K’s for Cash Kid promotion. Each game, one youngster will win a savings account from RBCU.

It’s open to kids up to age 12. Before each game, one youngster will be randomly chosen to be the K’s for Cash Kid. That youngster automatically wins a $10 starter savings account from Rockford Bell Credit Union. In addition, for each strikeout recorded by the RiverHawks’ starting pitcher, the kid will get an additional $3 in his or her account, courtesy of Rockford Bell Credit Union. The funds will be deposited into an account at Rockford Bell Credit Union in the child’s name with a guardian.

The account may be opened at any of the three Rockford Bell Credit Union locations – 4225 N. Perryville in Loves Park, 702 E. Jefferson in downtown Rockford, or 4 E. Main St. in Mt. Morris.

The RiverHawks are the Western Division champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007. The RiverHawks begin their sixth season on May 23 at Windy City. The home opener is at 7:05 p.m. May 25, when the RiverHawks host Windy City.
