Former RiverHawk Crowley a father
« Back

February 15, 2007 - Former RiverHawk Kevin Crowley is a first-time dad.

Jack James Crowley was born Tuesday night to Meghan and Kevin Crowley, who played for the RiverHawks in 2003-05.

"He is 22 inches long and came out throwing a nose-to-toes breaking ball from the left-hand side," Kevin Crowley said in an email.

If that's the case, the infant will follow a family tradition. Kevin was a member of the RiverHawks' 2004 championship team. Kevin's father, Ray Crowley, was a first baseman selected by Montreal in the same draft as Andre Dawson. The eldest Crowley had a cup of coffee with the Expos.

Other pertinent stats on the newborn Jack James: he was born at 8:37 p.m., weighs in at 7 lbs., 13 oz., and is named Jack after Kevin's brother and grandfather, and James after the middle names of Kevin and his father.
