“RiverHawks 2006” to air Sunday night on WIFR

June 9, 2006 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The CBS affiliate WIFR Channel 23 will be airing a bi-weekly program on Sunday nights all about the RiverHawks. The first half-hour show is entitled “RiverHawks 2006” and can be seen at 11:00 p.m.

Guests on the first show will include outfielder Rico Santana and super utility man Cody Brooks, manager J.D. Arndt, and general manager Josh Olerud, giving fans the perspective of the players, the coaching staff, and the front office. Fans will also get a VIP all-access pass to RiverHawks Stadium as presented by broadcaster Bill Czaja.

“This is a great way for fans to get up-close and personal with the team,” Olerud said. “We feel it provides the best way to find out what happens on the field and off with the team.”

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 10-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 14th season in 2006.
