RiverHawks announce mini-season plan dates
« Back

February 27, 2006 - ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks today announced the planned dates for their 2006 10-game mini-season ticket plans.

The RiverHawks have two 10-game plans this season, the traditional Big 10 package and the Weekender. A 10-game plan for the RiverHawks’ Home Plate Box seats, just feet from the action, is just $110, a $10 savings. A mini-season plan guarantees ticket buyers the same great box seat each night they come to RiverHawks Stadium.

“We’re anticipating selling out much of the schedule at the brand-new stadium,” RiverHawks general manager Josh Olerud said. “The only way fans can guarantee getting a seat for the most in-demand nights, including Opening Night, is by purchasing a full- or mini-season plan.”

The RiverHawks have not set a date for individual-ticket sales.

The Big 10 package includes 10 of the biggest promotional nights of the season, including the first game at RiverHawks Stadium, 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 31. The Opening Night Evansville-Rockford game will be followed by fireworks, sponsored by U.S. Cellular. Other nights on the Big 10 plan include Dr Pepper/7-Up RiverHawks Stadium Replica Night (June 3), U.S. Cellular RiverHawks Cap Night (June 10), Guerilla Graphix RiverHawks T-shirt Night (June 21), Dr Pepper/7-Up Bobblehead Doll Night (July 1), Rock Valley College/Advanced Business Machines Independence Day Fireworks (July 5), Dixon-Meyers RiverHawks Batting Helmets Night (July 19), RiverHawks Lunch Box Night (July 25), RiverHawks Baseball Card Night (Aug. 12) and another great postgame fireworks show on Aug. 25.

The Weekender plan includes RiverHawks Travel Bag Night (June 24), University of Wisconsin – Platteville RiverHawks Backpack Night (July 29), another great bobblehead doll giveaway on Aug. 26 and fireworks nights on June 2, 23 and 30, July 7 and 28, August 11 and September 1, which is also Fan Appreciation Night.

“We added the Weekender option last season and it received such a positive response from our fan base that we brought it back,” Olerud said. “Every game on the plan is a Friday or Saturday night, so most people won’t have to worry about getting up the next morning for work or school.”

Standard game times at RiverHawks Stadium is 7:05 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 6:05 p.m. Sunday. All promotions are subject to change.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 10-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 14th season in 2006.
